The 2025-2026 MESC schedule has officially been released! A .pdf version of the schedule is available for viewing/download below – the most up to date version will always be available through the MESC website.
Enrollment for the 2025-2026 courses will open June 1, 2025.
HIGHLIGHTS
A few things to note this year:
- To catch up on the Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations backlog, MESC is moving away from the BLOCK structure. This means that students will need to enroll in each component separately.
- On the first of each month starting May 1, 2025 a Hazardous Materials – Awareness online theory course will start. Enrollments in the Awareness level online course will be through the MESC waitlist. Please contact Student Services to be added to the waitlist.
- On the first of each month starting June 1, 2025 a Hazardous Materials – Operations online theory course will start. Enrollments will have a deadline of the 10th of the previous month.
- Hazardous Materials practical evaluations will happen each month starting in July 2025. These are still a two day structure and include the written exam. Please refer to the schedule below for these dates.
- More than one Fire Inspector course to help alleviate the backlog and demand for this course.
- Fire Department Safety Officer (full course) is being offered this year.
For the Manitoba Fire Service, please remember that although these are college scheduled courses, best practice is to enroll through your district Training Coordinator. This method allows for Fire Chiefs and Training Coordinators to stay in the loop about member enrollments, ensure the proper permissions are addressed, and helps with data collection when it comes time for incentives.
