“I’ve been a career firefighter in the city of Winnipeg since 2013, but my career really started at Manitoba Emergency Services College. At MESC I learned a wide range of skills that would enable me to work not only in Manitoba, but across Canada, and I have been fortunate to have made lifelong friendships with my fellow students as many of us went to different departments across Canada but kept in touch as we remember our time quite fondly. It is difficult as a lot is asked of you, but the end result is absolutely worth all the hard work.”
